Wireless, continuous and fast access to the Internet will give for passengers of high-speed trains "Sinkansen" on one of the main railroad lines of Japan – Tokajdo in spring of 2009, has informed the Ministry of Internal Affairs, communications and mail reform.
High-speed trains "Sinkansen" intended for transportation of passengers between large cities of Japan are capable to move with speed of 300 kilometres per hour. A considerable part of "Sinkansen" passengers - businessmen for whom each second on the score and qualitative continuous and fast access to the Internet also is important. ill present time a link with the Internet often interrupted, because of high speeds of a train and set of tunnels. Now this problem will not be, believe in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, communications and mail reform. It is supposed to equip cars of trains with items of wireless reception and information transfer on notebooks of passengers with a speed in several hundred KBYTES/S. In a train these items will unite in a local area network which will receive and transfer in turn given in the wireless way through retranslators to a cable along railroad tracks. As the cable will take place including in tunnels connection with the Internet will not interrupt throughout all path. t is planned to equip first of all with similar system the line of Tokajdo linking Tokyo and Kyoto, and also the country northeast. Also it will be installed on a line of Tokyo-Osaka on which go including the superfast trains of system N700 overcoming distance in 552 kilometres between these cities for 2 hours and 25 minutes. |
