Under the available information, the new microcircuit will represent program-depending radio chip (Software-Defined Radio). Differently, practically all operations on signal processing will be carried out by the software. As a result, becomes possible creation of flexibly configured system, capable to accept and transfer various kinds of radio signals. Electronics Weekly notices, that the devices equipped with new chip Intel, can work in networks Wi-Fi, WiMax, and also will support the standard of mobile digital TV DVB-H. The chip prototype has the surface area in 24 мм2 and consumes 79 мВт energy at reception of the information with a speed in 52 Mbit/with. Power consumption makes 72 мВт in a signalling mode.
Meanwhile, one of these days it became known, that corporation Intel together with Open Society "Telesystem Comstar-united" will be engaged in realisation of the mullions-strong project on expansion of mobile networks WiMAX in territory of the Russian Federation. According to the contract signed between the companies on cooperation, till the end of 2008 network Mobile WiMax will be started in commercial operation in the Moscow area. After that technology introduction will begin and in other regions. |
